Club fees

as of:

February 22, 2009

All members are charged a $250 deposit, which is non-refundable. This deposit covers any cost incurred during a billing cycle if you suddenly cancel membership and do not send payment. The deposit was made non-refundable because of the liability it creates with members who we have lost contact with after they moved away.

Dues are charged monthly and are used to cover the fixed costs of operating the Club. Dues are currently$40.00 for students and $50.00 for regular members. Hourly usage rates are computed using tach time and the hourly rates include fuel (currently reimbursed to members at the amount paid). Tach time means that at low RPM settings (e.g., taxiing, idling, approaches) you are only charged for a fraction of the elapsed clock time. Current aircraft rates, subject to change, are $110 per tach hour.

Members are responsible for refueling the airplane at the end of each flight. Manassas Regional Airport has 24-hour fuel service. Dulles Aviation bills the club directly for fuel and oil purchases. For fuel purchased by members on X-country flights, the Club reimburses members at the amount paid.

Bills are sent to all members monthly and are payable within 30 days. The monthly bill covers dues, flying charges, and any other club charges such as manuals.  Please recognize that the club is a purely volunteer organization and members are expected to pay promptly (by the 20th of the month please). Board members have minimal time available to chase late payers.
